SUSCON CONSTRUCTION

SUSCON is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) specialist delivering projects in emerging markets. With a proven track record on an Eighty Million US Dollar healthcare infrastructure project in Zambia and over 125 other projects. SUSCON pioneered a complete engineered steel frame building solution.

SUSCON’s flagship project being the construction of 115 x mini hospitals in the Republic of Zambia for a British Government backed exporter. SUSCON is recognised for its ability to design, construct, and implement complex projects in Africa.

As a business it is SUSCON’S goal to tackle infrastructure backlogs in Africa using world class and appropriate construction technology. SUSCON have refined our engineered steel frame building solution to an insulted building system that they now call the SPIRE© build methodology. The methodology has a lower carbon footprint than conventional construction methodologies and is therefore more sustainable.

SUSCON operates to an international level of health, safety and environmental standards and believe in the promotion of local business and industry wherever they work to maximise local employment opportunities. SUSCON’S business and the solutions provided are ideally suited to delivering, clinics, hospitals, schools, social housing and other social infrastructure.

SUSCON has refined and continues to develop the SPIRE build methodology. The system is a low aggregate-based solution which combines the benefits of pre-engineering and factory fabrication with site-built quality providing customers with consistent high-quality buildings in aggressive timelines. The system is particularly well suited to multi-site, multi-unit projects such as the roll out of schools, district hospitals and mini hospitals.

The system can be rapidly deployed to remote and rural regions. The finished buildings are completed in shorter time frames than traditionally built structures and outperform them as far as thermal and acoustic insulative properties are concerned with comparable lifespans and often lower life of product costs.
